Humorous and imaginative, intimate and gripping, this visual theatre work invites the viewer into one woman’s inner world. Weaving physical theatre with kinetic art and an original piano score, Torn explores the delicate balance of our sanity when affected by deep loss. Accompanying Foley artist Barney Strachan creates a richly inventive soundtrack to this touching and sensual evocation of attachment. Beautifully designed and compellingly performed by one of Scotland’s most exciting new visual theatre companies.

- The world premiere of Faux Theatre’s Torn, a hugely promising piece by young Scottish artist Francisca Morton – with Foley artist and composer Barney Strachan – which conjures up the tragi-comic despair of a broken relationship, in a lonely room full of torn paper. **** The Scotsman
"Debut productions rarely come more fully formed, more accomplished or engaging than FAUX Theatre's Torn" - **** Herald Scotland
"One of the many enviable qualities of Manipulate is its ability to hairpin turn through moments of both light and dark: to pull the rug from beneath our feet. FAUX Theatre have shot for this very idea in a playful yet touching piece of sensual storytelling on the euphoria – and despondency – of love." - TV Bomb
